Award-winning singer/songwriter Emma Pears has benefited from a lifetime of performing music.
From an early age her talent was obvious and her desire to share her ability with others shone through, whether playing the piano, singing, or teaching.
This love of music shows in the wide range of melody-led songs she has written. With a firm classical grounding and a degree in music (specialising in composition and performing) Emma has used her sound knowledge to craft pop, rock, R'n'B, soul, jazz, new punk, and orchestral music, and moves seamlessly between genres.
Emma said: "I've even written in a new punk style imagining I'm a 15-year-old teenage boy! That's why I love it. I can write for other people in lots of different styles, which is fun, and also write songs that reflect where I'm coming from as an artist".
