Francesca Longrigg
Having signed to Chrysalis, Francesca was able to fully explore the majestic art of songwriting.
After a while she released an ambient dance version of her song Hanging In Mid Air (co-written
by Mike Parker), which was produced by Adrian Sherwood of On U Sound, with drum programming by Keith Le Blanc.
From this she earned the accolade of 'Singer of the Month' in the industry's 'Tipsheet' magazine, and had great
reviews in 'Melody Maker' and 'Music Week'.
Tim Simenon of Bomb the Bass produced a dub version of the track, and Francesca contributed her two songs Arrow and
I Won't Let You Down for Keith Le Blanc's album Audium Capsule 1.
During this period, Francesca still worked and performed as an actress in TV and Film in the UK.
Francesca then moved to New York, and lived there for three fantastic and creative years. Some of the diverse collaborations
included working with the reggae artist Floyd Lloyd, and she contributed three songs for his album Believer, on Tropic
Entertainment through Warner Music. <<< back more
