Swound!
Swound! self-released their debut single Disco Siberia
in 2007 and attracted attention from various labels, radio and press.
Rock Sound Magazine featured the band and the single actually charted
at No. 1 in the Isle of Man.
The demo version of What's Your Poison? found its way into the
hands of various Radio 1 DJs who played the track numerous times. Swound!
were featured as 'Fresh Meat' on Zane Lowe's show and received praise
and airplay from Steve Lamacq on several of his radio broadcasts. Rob
Da Bank announced Swound! as his top tip for the year and Swound! later
recorded a session at BBC Maida Vale Studios.
One of Swound!'s earliest gigs was supporting Girls Aloud at a Nottingham
University party.
Swound! went from three brothers to four when the previous drummer left
three weeks before a support slot with Madness. Youngest brother Lloyd
learnt the drums in this short time, played an amazing show and discovered
his natural gift.
